The Decentralisation and Municipal Support DEMOS Municipal Financial Management project,
implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and funded by the Swiss Development
Cooperation, is an ongoing initiative started in April 2018. It aims to support partner
municipalities in Kosovo in meeting minimum criteria conditions and improving their financial
management systems. Key focus areas include achieving unqualified audit opinions, improving
budget implementation for capital investments, and developing procurement plans while
monitoring contract implementation. The project provides comprehensive training, workshops,
and coaching to municipal staff to enhance their financial management capabilities.
