The purpose of the EMPOWER – Kosovo Credit Support project is to facilitate access to finance to SMEs in Kosovo, through the establishment of a non-banking financial institution, which will initially provide partial loan guarantees to banks that lend in targeted sectors such as to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with a specifal focus on less bankable SMEs, women woned businesses, minority owned businesses and start-ups.
