On Thursday, 6 June, Visar Dobroshi from Recura Financials took part as a panellist in the session on ESG. “It is not about “doing good”, it’s about your firm’s future success!”

In the interactive session, the panel of speakers, moderated by Mr. Robert F. van Beemen, explored the increasing significance of ESG for the future prosperity of law firms and corporations in general.
Many topics related to the ESG in Law firms and in corporations were addressed, including:

• What are corporations, financial institutions and governments undertaking regarding ESG, and what are the main drivers?
• ESG as a factor in corporate strategies, governmental regulations, and financing
• An increased demand for ESG policy from younger attorneys in a law firm
• Is ESG a threat to the competitiveness of law firms nowadays?
• What challenges do law firms see/face with Gen Z employees?
  – Have regional law firms included topics with a focus on Social Impact, Employee Engagement or Community Engagement on their agendas?

Presenting in the discussion in the panel, Visar Dobroshi addressed, among other topics, crucial aspects of ESG trends and developments in the WB region, specifically what corporations, financial institutions, and governments are undertaking on this matter and to which extent ESG has become a factor in corporate strategies, governmental regulations, and financing institutions in Western Balkans countries.
